Kailash Home: Building Futures & Friendships

Leo Lion Foundation are proud to have supported the Himalayan Youth Foundation (HYF) and their work at Kailash Home in Kathmandu for many years. Kailash Home is not just a building — it is a family. It provides orphaned and impoverished children from across Nepal with stability, education, and, most importantly, hope. Every child who comes through its doors is given the chance to dream of a brighter future, and to know they are not alone.

At Kailash Home, children receive quality education in a safe environment, giving them strong academic foundations for the future. Life at the Home is built on a “big family” system, where older children mentor and support the younger ones, helping to instil responsibility and kindness. Beyond academics, the Home provides care, counselling, and opportunities for social and emotional growth, ensuring each child develops holistically. Most importantly, the children are encouraged to give back — to take their learning and experiences back to their villages, creating a ripple of positive change across Nepal.

Each child at the Kailash Home has their own personality, passions, and dreams for the future and seeing them flourish is testament to the environment they’re growing up in.
